Our hearts are heavy as we navigate a profound and devastating loss in our community. Our deepest condolences and thoughts are with their family, friends, and everyone affected by the tragedy that occurred in Kenton.

We know that a loss of this nature brings up a complex wave of grief, anger, anxiety, and confusion. Please know that whatever you are feeling right now is valid, and you do not have to carry it alone. We want to ensure that every student has a safe, confidential space to process this news. Fall Break is wrapping up, and flu season is just around the corner! We're hosting flu shot clinics for students with signed parent forms and staff who preregistered. If you've decided to not get the shot, email Amy Richardson at richardsona1@gcssd.org by 8:00 AM on Tuesday, October 14th with the subject No Flu Shot and your child’s name. Clinics will be held at SGC schools on Tuesday 10/14 and other district schools on Wednesday 10/15.

The YMCA Summer Food Program will provide a 7-day meal pack for children aged 18 and under from May 24, 2025, to August 2, 2025.
