We know that a loss of this nature brings up a complex wave of grief, anger, anxiety, and confusion. Please know that whatever you are feeling right now is valid, and you do not have to carry it alone. We want to ensure that every student has a safe, confidential space to process this news. Our summer school guidance counselor, Adeline Blanken is available to talk, listen, and offer support to our GCSSD students. Email Ms. Blanken at ablanken@gcssd.org to connect or schedule a meeting.
Gibson County Special School District has once again been recognized as a Best Communities for Music Education district by the The NAMM Foundation!
This national honor is especially meaningful as we are one of only twelve districts in Tennessee to receive this distinction. 🎉
This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to providing all students with access to high-quality music education and celebrating the incredible work of our music educators.
Join us in congratulating our teachers, students, and community for making music education a priority in GCSSD!

The Gibson County Special School District is required to complete a TISA Accountability Report, which details how the district uses TISA funds to achieve specific goals for student achievement.
The TISA Accountability Report promotes efforts for school improvement. By providing feedback on academic performance, school climate, and student support services, parents help ensure transparency and guide data-driven decisions. Their input enables educators and administrators to identify strengths and areas for growth, fostering a more responsive and inclusive learning environment. This collaborative process strengthens the partnership between families and schools, ultimately benefiting student success.
